DGroups are much more than a Bible study. More than a fellowship. It’s a opportunity for HSM students to be involved in authentic community with a group of believers who are united in their passion for God, His Word and His plan. So, what is a Dgroup and how do you get involved?
What is a dgroup? - it’s about life - it’s about accountability - it’s about authentic friendships- it’s a closed group – commitment to meet every week
What is expected? - commitment - confidentiality - attendance - honesty - submission to your mentor
When can you meet? - anytime - once a week - anywhere – you work this out with your mentor
What do you talk about? - your mentor will guide you - Bible - life and how the Bible relates - use accountability questions to guide your time together – pray for each other… Genuinely!
These are not your ordinary groups. These are Dgroups. A opportunity for you to go Deeper and Discover what real Discipleship looks like. To register to be a part of these groups simply go to http://www.hsmdgroups.com or CLICK HERE.
There is a MANDATORY DGroup Banquet Sunday Afternoon October 20 at 12:30pm in the Student Center. Yes, its mandatory… why? One for the core values of DGroups is Dedication (Commitment). If you want to be involved, it starts with making a commitment from the very beginning. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to call or email Steve. (email@example.com)
Last year was our inaugural year of Fall Retreat… and it was AWESOME! Many of our students loved our time at Horton Haven. Below is the highlight video. Be sure to take a look.
This year is shaping up to be another incredible get away! We are headed to a NEW LOCATION, YMCA Camp of Nashville, November 22-24. Our theme this year is RE:new RE:vive RE:fresh RE:treat! God is in the business of making all things new. Taking our lives, re:newing them and re:deeming them for His glory. We are taking the whole weekend to re:treat and re:fresh our souls.
We have invited some of our good friends to come lead us in worship and Bible study. Andrew Adams and his band will be lead us in worship. We have a couple of surprise friends coming to share God’s Word with us and will announce their names later.
The cost for this weekend is $70 during the month of September. The price jumps to $80 in the month of October and goes up even higher during the month of November to $100. It pays to sign up early! ALSO, we have opened up Early-bird registration ($45) for COLLIDE as a special add-on to your Fall Retreat registration. It’s like a “two for” deal. Two early bird prices for one low price.
CLICK HERE TO REGISTER or click on “hsm fall retreat” link at the top of this page!
Oh yeah… that’s right. We are giving away a free registration to Fall Retreat (November 22-24) & Collide (February 13-15) That’s a $115 give away. SO, how do you qualify for this free registration? THIS SUNDAY ONLY… at the Ministry Fair here at New Vision, we will have a booth set up right outside the worship center. Simply drop your name in the bowl and at 12:45pm (after last worship service) we will draw the winner! Easy enough. You don’t have to be present at the drawing to win, but you DO have to stop by the HSM Booth.
Next week we will opening up early-bird registration for Fall Retreat AND Collide. Location, details, and prices will be released next week. So, stay tuned and be ready!
